Newtown, Connecticut

I have nothing eloquent to say about the tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut. It has left me almost speechless, and frankly, I don’t really want to address it fully in such a frivolous place as this blog. To do so seems dishonorable. But I had to say something to express my extreme sorrow.

  1. Because there isn’t anything that you can say but at least we can let you know that people outside US care, too.
My heart goes to the parents of the slain children. Their lives wil always be marked by this tragedy.

  2. It’s the pictures that got me. Those poor little kids..they didn’t deserve this. Nobody did.

  3. I feel as sad today as I did the morning of 9-11.

  4. That school is 10 miles from my house (next town over). There are no words.

  5. Abby, I immediately wondered if it was your kids’ school. So glad it wasn’t!

Anneke, Thanks, and yes, they will be marked, but we’ve all been marked by this or should be.

EEE, I can’t even look at the pictures.

Heidi, I am feeling as I did after Columbine but worse.

  6. I’m here north of the border in Canada thinking of the families and friends who have been impacted by the loss of their loved ones. There are no words to express the sorrow attached to this horrible incident.

  7. Such a tragedy. :( My thoughts and prayers go out to them.
