Lots of Lovely Details about The Hobbit Premiere in Wellington

Yep, we’re getting all sorts of details about the shindig the Kiwis are planning for The Hobbit premiere. They’re even renaming the town for the event.

Okay, okay, okay! I admit it! I would love to go to Wellington! There I said it. Phew.

That would be a dream. It’s not going to happen, but it’s nice to dream. :D And it’s springtime in New Zealand. *sigh*

I can’t stand it. I’ve got to stop thinking about this, or I’m going to have a meltdown. Yeah, yeah, I said I wasn’t going to watch the Royal Wedding either. I was so glued to the set and had no good excuse for it. I’m blaming this foolishness on Tolkien.

Maybe Billy was right. ;-)

I should have been a travel agent after I finished my career as a make-up artist.

note: I did publish something erroneously right before this post. Sorry, but it’s not ready yet.

  2. Kelly…You lucky duck you! (Pun intended!) :D

Now, what I want to hear about are NEW YORK CITY details. Come on Sir Peter!! Dish?!!!

  3. So very excited to read about all this on theonering’s FB page today! I’m presuming ALL the cast will be there! :) Wish all of us could be there too! One of the details that got me thinking was the “500 feet of red carpet”!! :D Plenty of time for the media from all over the world to get a VERY good look and hopefully pass on lots of pictures and video footage to us lesser mortals who can only drool over a certain King of the Dwarves from afar! ;)

  4. I think that most of given the opportunity would go to Wellington for the premier. Personally I could accomplish three thing – get go to New Zealand crossed of my bucket list, hopefully spot RA and equally hopefully get to see the movie while there.

Maybe I should buy a ticket to this week’s PowerBall Lottery:)

  5. If I launched my kayak from the beach right outside House’s door and started paddling due east tomorrow and barring no run-ins with White Pointers or easterlies and with a following wind from Australia, I might just make it to Wellington for the premiere. Then again…

It’s spring here too and by November we on the 42 degree latitude will hopefully be on the doorstep of summer … hoping for brill weather for the premiere. Go NZ!

  6. Woohoo….not long now!

  7. It is getting exciting! @TheQueen, we need some info!!

  8. I went to NZ in April fell in love with it and have planned another trip to be there for the premier. I’m taking my daughter and we are looking forward to to the big adventure from one side of the earth to the other. Would love to know if other RA fans planning to be in Wellington we need to get together to make as much noise for Richard as possible. Can’t wait!!
