I’m So Behind on My RA Watching!

There are so many things I haven’t seen or heard yet. I really have been too busy to watch anything. I barely even listen to music these days except something classical while I’m working, which is most of the time.

This weekend I’m making myself take a break. I’m about to have 2-1/2 weeks of company. It will be enjoyable to visit with family and friends, but if I don’t rest up beforehand, I’ll be whipped when they leave. How’s that for a fangirl justification? Pretty lame I know, but I don’t care. Doing it anyway.

So here’s something that Armitage Besotted sent me:

And this is my favorite screencap:

It’s amazing to me how Richard Armitage can use his mouth to such effect. I am not being provocative. I mean it seriously. He can say volumes just by how he holds his mouth.

A few others:

This has been said ad nauseum, but it struck me again while watching — he can say things with a slight movement.

And then there’s the hair and stubble. I know it’s not always his hair, but whatever the case, he wears it well. Is there a hairstyle he can’t pull off? Shaved head? I would still love to see that, and I promise it won’t drive me to drink. Probably look sexy as hell like the rest of his looks.

That was fun. It’s been a while since I had a fangirling bout. Picture me now as the proverbial drunk with a tongue hanging out. Much better than liquor.

Thank you, AB. If it weren’t for you, I would be seeking treatment from this affliction. :D

So What’s Your Reaction to the Trailer?

This kind of sums it up for parts of RA Universe:

So a puffy shirt and a forceful rescue do it for some of you? Or is it just Richard’s presence anywhere? :D

What say you?

Prepared to Be Blown Away?

And other useful euphoria. Mainly I’m wondering if we get to hear you know who speak.

Here goes:

Where Will You Be Tomorrow at 10:00am?

We all knew Todd Garner was a tease, and now a teaser for the teaser. :D

The Year of the Dwarf?

Timeout from my FanstRAvaganza exploration.

I was followed on Twitter by another movie trailer site. I think they know I’m a sucker for these things. So I went over to watch some and came away with the need to post this.

Who woulda thunk one of the hot topics in entertainment this year would be dwarfs? (Or is that dwarves? Damn that Tolkien!) Not that I have any kind of problem with it or that it’s my first encounter with them — I have been a fan of the Roloffs. But I never imagined so much would be coming at us.

The premiere of “Mirror, Mirror” on Friday:

And supposedly ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ in June:

Of course the best is being saved for last since no dwarf before and probably since will be like this (Thank you, Sir Peter. :D):

But I do wonder why this much emphasis on Snow White? I’m sure the producers of those movies are irritated with each other, and I wonder if Peter Jackson is irritated by this as well or if it helps with ‘The Hobbit.’ Yeah, I think about useless stuff like this when I should be doing some paperwork such as the kind needed to file my taxes. See?! See?! why I get so caught up in this useless pastime?! Who in God’s creation wants to do their taxes?! Yep, that’s what I thought. This is much more soothing.

edit: E.B. Darcy reminded me about ‘Once Upon a Time’, which came out last year, and I think may be part of the reason Snow White is getting so much treatment.

Finally, The Hobbit Trailer

And it was well worth the wait:

And some caps…

Still looks good on a horse:

Singing!

Caps are my stash. I may have to post some more later. :D

The Art of the Tease: Waiting on The Hobbit Trailer

I thought I knew about teasing, but the building of expectation for ‘The Hobbit’ trailer has taken teasing to new levels. The last time I was this tightly bound, I was watching a pregnancy test stick but that never gave me a tic! Now if I even hear or see a word that looks or sounds like trailer, I jump. Early this morning I was working on some business issues and reading about possible marketing strategies. I caught site of the word trailer, uh, I mean mailer, and my heart sped up. A few minutes later, one of the kids said they were going over to see trailer, uh Taylor, who lives next door. Phew! I’m not sure how much longer I can stand it. And really I don’t understand why I’m so jumpy since the trailer won’t be shown until this evening. Won’t it? Yes, I’m paranoid I may miss it, and I want to see it as soon as it comes out!! I dare not tell you how many times I’ve visited various websites. My poor browser has never worked so hard trolling the web. ;-)

And I want to hit something! Which puts me in good company since the comments I’ve read around the web have threatened bodily injury to someone if the trailer isn’t shown soon. Not being the violent type, I would never threaten bodily injury — not verbally anyway. In my head, there are all sorts of violent things going on.

Until further notice, this is a possible link for watching the trailer.

Tintin Looks Interesting

I’m contemplating seeing this movie. It’s been a while since I’ve been to a movie theater, and it would be nice to get out of the house. SO was talking about taking our eleven year old to see it, and my extreme eagerness was duly noted with a look askance that said, “What is going on?” My look back, “Nothing. I just thought _________ might love this movie, and it is the holiday season. Maybe we can go on opening night?”

I refuse to believe Richard Armitage is corrupting my reputation. What is it to me that I’ve watched the cheesy Robin Hood, then more cheesy Captain America, and now… But I’m doing it so my kid will have some entertainment, and I’m sure she would love the trailers:
